    Dear Sir,

First, thank you so much for the Firewall, I am testing it right now and it looks really good. But you have mentioned that I can’t migrate to different server while your plugin is active, if that true. How about the backup and restore?

I backup everyday using updraftplus and I usually download the backup and run it on a testing server. Is it possible to still backup and restore the backup on different server while your plugin is active?

If not, then that would be a problem for us, we can’t deactivate and reactivate your plugin every time we want to backup.

I will really appreciate your clarification on this since it’s very important for us. How about the Multisite too? Can we still backup and restore without deactivating?

We are hopping to buy your pro version for our new coming VPS, soon.

    Thank you,

    Imad Daou

    Hi,

You can back it up (files and DB), even when it is active, but you must restore it to the same server. The problem is that, the instructions added to your PHP INI and .htaccess are specific to the server where it is installed. If you restore those files to another server, PHP will crash because the paths will not match the new server.

You may try to restore to another server, but without restoring the PHP INI. Then, when you will click on the plugin menu, it will run the installer to recreate that file on the new server.

So just to clarify, if our site were deleted off the server while the plugin is active, and we did a full restore to the same public_html – That would not present the login issues you warned about?

    Hi,

As long as you restore it to the same server/folder/vhost, there will be no problem.
