Home Page – Customized Title?

Is there a reason why Yoast SEO does NOT provide a way to customize the home page title?
I use a Page (not a Post) as my home page and have titled it “Home”. What ends up being my page title is “Home – [my site name]”.
If I remove the page title (in WP) for this page, then my title ends up being “[blank space] – [my site name]”.
Is there a better way to edit the title of my home page so that it appears as “[my site name] – [tagline]? I would like to have the name of my site listed first for the SEREP.
BTW: I’ve looked at the last 5 months of questions regarding Yoast SEO home pages, but can’t this asked. Thanks.
