No ess file generated

    Tried it on a different site with fewer plugins.

    Still getting timeouts, but when I click on the ESS icon on an event I get this instead of a blank page

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_detect_encoding() in /u/t/torontodance/www.torontodance.com/staging/saltdev/wp-content/plugins/events-manager-ess/inc/views/ESS_Feed.php on line 95

    Ok we determined that we had to add this code to our php.ini file

    extension=mbstring.so

    and then ess files are generated and the mb_detect_encoding error goes away.

    However, reading in feeds, even a feed with only one event, still gives a timeout.
