Fullwidth settings off?

I have just installed fruitful as a theme for my webshop and tried to customise it.
The problem I have is that the proportions on my site (http://mableonline.com/shop) are off. The slider is much smaller than on the demo page and I can’t seem to delete this sidebar on the left side which bugs me the most.
I tried to switch everthing to fullscreen and have removed all widgets from the sidebars, it is still showing.

I don’t relly have html5 and CSS knowledge so I would very much appreciate any “beginner” advice.
