Move navigation out of header

    Hi gang! How do I move the navigation out of the header. Right now the header background color is applied all the way down, past the main navigation even for the “Navigation Below” option.

    Would I need to make a child theme for this customization? And how child theme friendly is Make?

    A child theme is always a good idea when you are customising.
    It looks like MAKE is a suitable candidate (the only thing that makes a theme unsuitable is if it is already a child theme (there are no grandchild themes)).

    By the sound of your ambitions for reworking the navigation, you will be working in “header.php”, maybe just moving the navigation to outside the “banner” div.
