This might be my brain not working with the logic so apologies in advance if that is the case!

I have a long event set to show within the main event pages (archive-event/single-event etc) this is fine and shows without a problem the start and long end date.

    BUT

I also have a shortcode on the homepage of my website eo_events to pull in the latest event (http://www.bishopscastletownhall.co.uk) and because I have now ticked ‘no’ within settings to say current events are past only after end date I have the long event showing on the homepage instead of the start date of the next event.

Hopefully that makes sense and there is a way to get both to work?

Ok, so as I thought it was my brain not working out the logic.

If anyone else gets confused (as I struggled to override the shortcode of eo_events with showpastevents=false) I found adding in event_start_after=”today” solved the problem (or has seemed to anyway!).

By doing that I have managed to keep past events ticked as ‘no’ within the settings and keep a long event showing on the main event listing page but not be listed as an upcoming event.
