An Update, I got it back up after bringing back the database from few days back… removing the plugin it self and installing previous version wasn’t helping.

So website is back up, but I lost few days of work πŸ™

There seems to be an issue with the 3.9.2 version guys.

I can confirm that the lastest version is partly ‘broken’, at least for me.

With the previous version everthing was working ok: nothing was changed in the theme or anything else, only updated the contact7 plugin to 3.9.2.

What is working as before (for me):
    – normal email forms without ‘file upload’ -> the ajax progress indicator works, and you view the message ‘succeeded’ in the frontend. -> email arrives in my mailbox

What is not working anymore (for me):
    – email form with ‘file upload’ -> ajax progress indicator keeps spinning; NO message ‘succeeded’ in the frontend -> email does however arrive in my mailbox (with the attachment)

same to me here, wondering whether somebody solved or at least raised same issue

The plugin is working for me on many different websites and several different servers. Any issue you have is almost certainly due to something on your local WP install.

You will be mistaken if you focus on this happening since the last update IMHO – it’s probably just a coincidence.

I tested file upload on one of my sites and it worked fine – same as always.

The spinning arrow is a common symptom of a Javascript conflict with either your current WordPress theme or one of the other plugins you are using – see Contact Form 7 Email Issues – there is a link there that covers Javascript Conflicts.

In my case the website just went ‘white screen’ without possibility to access backend which would suggest either lack of memory (not possible) or php error.

Like I said reverting back to the previous version of plugin through ftp didn’t solve an issue, so that makes it no php error either.

I could only solve it by importing old database, what would suggest that somehow database got corrupted when I updated CF7 πŸ™

I’m going to try again, maybe on some other website (AFTER doing backup) to see if I can replicate the issue.

RE: reverting back to the previous version of plugin through ftp didn’t solve an issue, so that makes it no php error either.

I disagree – could still be a PHP error.

RE: I could only solve it by importing old database, what would suggest that somehow database got corrupted when I updated CF7 πŸ™

CF7 does not write to the WP database when it updates. Reverting to an older version of your database could have many different effects, depending on which other plugins are used.

Testing replication on other site is a very sensible approach in this case.

it sounds logic what u are saying buzztone, but in practice, i deleted everything and now running just updated wordpress with Twenty Fourteen theme and default page, but still not sending uploaded file: http://arvat.nl/?page_id=2 could u have a look?
