Can't Pull First Two Items Using Shortcode

We are trying to grab the first two items from the feed at http://jewishinstlouis.org/calendar/category/jfed/hmlc/feed/ using this shortcode:

[wp_rss_multi_importer thisfeed="2" sortorder="1" showgroup="0" category="1" datestyle="font-style:italic;" hdsize="16px" hdweight="600" excerptlength="15" morestyle="<i> More >></i>"]

For some reason the shortcode puts them in the correct order, but grabs the last two items from the feed instead of the first two. When we change the sortorder parameter to “2” it still grabs the last two items, but flips the order.

You can see how they appear by looking in the sidebar of http://hmlc.org/about/.

Also, I don’t think this was an issue until the last major plugin update.
