    Dear rebornarchive,

Yes, you surely can. You should just add titles to your images in back-end. Afterwards you should set the option “Enable info:” to Yes when generating the shortcode.

    Wedorado,

I apologize, but I have no idea of what you mean when you say “back-end”.

…and my “Enable info” is checked to yes by default.

    …thanks,

    Dear rebornarchive,

The back-end of the website is your Dashboard. You should go to Photo Gallery->Add Galleries/Images-> Click on your current gallery. Afterwards you should fill in the Alt/Title field for each image. When you have added titles to all of them, you should generate shortcode and paste it to your page or post. In this case the titles will be shown if you click on “i” button. If you want it to show automatically there is also an option for showing it immediately when the lightbox opens.

    Webdorado,

Perhaps we have two different versions. There is no “I” button on my version.

However, I do have an option to show the Image Title.

    …which I did change.

All I want to do is put a small caption somewhere near the picture.

I filled in the “description” but it covers/obscures the picture.

Is there no simple way to just add a caption with the gallery?

    Dear rebornarchive,

Do you want it to be under the picture and not on it ?

    (@rebornarchive)

…yes, under is fine. …anywhere but on the picture.

I think the one with Roger Craig has a caption. It puts the text on the picture no matter what setting/option I use.

Unfortunately our plugin doesn’t have such functionality yet but we are going to add it in future updates.

Have captions been added to the plugin yet? I think this is a necessary feature, I agree with rebornarchive with the caption not appearing on the image and hope this has been added.
