wordpress thinks mp3 upload is an image

uploading an mp3 file…which ends with an “error message,” but then I see it was successfully uploaded (by looking at the root directory in cPanel)

but I also see that it both received the mp3 and then tried to turn the mp3 into jpg’s of several sizes.

help!
