Disable 'Leave your observation'

you can disable comments from your settings in the admin.

Settings > Discussion > and then uncheck the box that allows users to comment

so now you’ll have to go to the page/post and uncheck it there.

You can look at the full list of pages/posts and do the quick edit. You’ll see the checkmark there as well. (this is how to override the general rule, but from now on it won’t be defaulted that way)
