Cant Disable WP Page

    Hi – I have a business website that is provided by WP -The business has closed a while back- It was put up by a graphic designer some years ago set up – he has gone out of business.
    My domain was hosted by Melbourne IT who have closed the account at my request . The website is still up there with wordpress.
    I have a user name but no passwords that would have been sent to the designer.
    I cant seem to bring down this website and I cant talk directly to wordpress to sort out.
    If I request a new password it is being sent to an email that is unknown to me.
    Any ideas as I have a website that I cant close ?

    If you simply want to remove the site, speak with Melbourne IT and ask them to do it for you. If they won’t/can’t, ask for FTP/Phpmyadmin access and you’ll be able to do it yourself.

    Incidentally, you can’t talk directly to WordPress since such an entity doesn’t exist. When you install WordPress in your own web space, you are the boss.
