Error logging in – Error establishing a database connection

    Hi There,

    I have just been editing my works wordpress page when an error occurred saying ‘Error establishing a database connection’. i then attempted to log back in and when i go to http://www.pro-videhomeloans.com.au/wp-login.php the same error appears.

    I have read all the information provided but dont understand how to fix the problem if I cant access the coding as suggested in some posts.

    I have also cleared cookies etc.

    Please Help!!

    That means that either your blog simply can’t connect to your database or your database server is completely offline.

    First, make sure that the database connection details in your wp-config.php file are correct. If they are, contact your hosting provider and ask them to reboot your database server.

    im knew at this. How do i check the wp-config.php file if i cant even log in?

    You’ll need to access your server via FTP or SFTP, your hosting provider will have details somewhere on what credentials to use to log in via FTP.

    Using an FTP client like FileZilla. The wp-config.php is located in the root directory of your WordPress installation.
