First paragraph never justifies in columns short code setting.

    Greetings,

    When I enter short code to make 2 columns in 2014 theme, the first paragraph never justifies like the rest. If I move it down further from first short code [columnize] it justifies, but leaving an extra line of space that puts it lower than the second column.     I’ve left it set to show the problem. I set the text to justify all at once and tried one paragraph at a time. Either way, no change. Also having difficulty trying to level out the line spacing as you can see at the end of bottom left column.

    Wondering why this is so difficult as well as changing header sizes and block quotes that won’t alter the other surrounding text. Text formatting should be much easier than this. But I’m a rookie, and probably missing something here.

    Thank you for any assistance on this. I’m not very IT savvy. Where’s the plug in?!!! 😉

    Another question, maybe a bit off topic, but is it possible to make a page layout with Indesign, export as a transparent PNG and post that as “media”? Then I could design my pages with proper formatting as an image and get the same desired effect?

    Don’t do this. Not a good idea. Yes it will let you nicro manage the layout, control the font, etc. And then make your content inaccessible, google won’t be able to index it, unworkable on a phone.

    That answered my second question. The first is still an unsolved mystery.

    First shows my attempt at justifying all paragraphs. The first paragraph will not justify.
    The second example shows all paragraphs justified, but leaves left column lower than the right. Tried everything I could, but still new to all this. I can’t find any code in text mode for extra spacing, but it’s there. Or won’t wordpress acknowledge basic grammatical or print formatting? I know it’s not Word, but it could be more user friendly.

    Hope someone has a solution. Formatting should not be this difficult for text.
