Dear PrettyFlyHD,
Please try downloading Norwegian .mo and .po files from wp-content/plugins/photo-gallery/languages/ folder. Afterwards open the .po file with POEdit (http://www.poedit.net/download.php). Please check if everything is right in Norwegian and save as a new .po file. A new .mo file will be generated. Please replace the old ones in the mentioned directory with these new .po .mo files.
Let us know if this helps.
Thank you.
webdorado, thanks for your quick reply.
I tried what you said, and downloaded the .po and .mo file, checked to see if it all was correct with POEdit, re-saved and uploaded.
Still no change… Language is still in english. It looks like it is not loading the .po file at all. Is there anything else I can try?
Thanks
Dear PrettyFlyHD,
We have checked for Norwegian and the translation was done as it should. Please be informed, that if you want to translate the backend, then unfortunately it is not being translated.
But if the frontend is not translated after the actions mentioned in the previous post, then please send us the link to a webpage with a gallery to info@web-dorado.com
Thank you.
Oh ok. It was the backend I was trying to get translated.
That clears things up alot. Thanks for the quick reply 🙂
Too bad backend is not translation-ready. We use WPML and have editors of a website who do not speak english so they can’t use the plugin at its best.
Are you maybe planning to put some __() _e() inside the admin/ files in any future versions? I could provide translations to italian (and french) for this plugin I’m discovering lately.
Thank you.
Dear user,
Unfortunately, our back end is not available for translation. We are not sure about whethet the back end translation will be included within the future updates or not. Thank you.
