Updating wordpress theme without FTP

    Hello!

    I’ve been putting off updating my current theme for a while as i don’t have the foggiest clue how to do it via FTP. Is it possible to simply delete the current version and then replace it with the updated version?

    I am using the MAYA theme and my web dev created a child theme for me. If i were to simply replace the theme, which one should i be deleting? The “parent” theme or the “child” theme?
