Change Widget Background colors

I’m using the resportsive theme for my website, and I’m hoping to change the background of the widgets on my homepage to #FFCC33. I have the code already for the basic background

background: #FFCC33;
}

But want to add that color to the widgets so everything is matching in the center.

I tried going through the vendor page at MVPThemes and they said I’m on my own and were unwillingly to provide the code needed. Hopefully someone can lead me in the right direction.
