lost all plugins

    Hi, a backup ran at 3 am and was FTP to remote location. sometime after that all by it self we lost all plugins. when I look with ftp there all there including the backup plugin. I tried to re-install the backup to see if it has a restore I could not I am sure due to the files already being there. I have no clue what happened. do you have any idea or how I should try to get wp to recognize the plugins as being there.
