Visual Editor Suddenly Missing

    It was working fine last night. I logged in to PhP Admin and did a repair and also optimize database. I have tried turning off all plug-ins. I have tried using the basic theme that is default for wordpress. I have also reinstalled wordpress. But my visual editor is gone. Only the HTML editor is showing and before where there were two tabs for Visual and HTML, those tabs to switch back and forth are missing.

    How do I get my visual editor back?

    Wow I feel dumb. I spent hours doing advanced stuff an overlooked the simplest step to check first. I don’t know how or why I did this but on the My Profile settings the “Disable the Visual Editor” option at the very top had been clicked by mistake. I unchecked that box and everything is fine again.
