Post without an email?

I just noticed this but how do I get all these ridiculous posts without emails? I tried to post myself by entering everything else except an email and I can’t even post?

How do these spammers do it? What can I do to prevent this? Because I was under the impression that the email was required and if you left it blank, it would not allow you to post? Thankx!
