• Hi Guys,

I have just taken control of a minicab website http://www.londontowncars.co.uk which someone before me had put together as a DIY effort in Wix. As the site moves on and expands I would really like to move it over to wordpress as I run all my sites on wordpress and although Wix is ok it has a lot of features that I really dont like. WordPress gives a lot more interms of plugins and things that can be done with code etc

Is there some sort of plugin I can use to convert Wix to WordPress or will the whole thing have to be done manually. If the site only had 5 or 6 pages I wouldnt be bothered but I think is not about 50 ?!? 🙁

  • Unless it is listed in Importing_Content, the site’s content will have to be moved manually.

You can not really move the design of the wix site over, but there does seem to be a way to move all of the page content over, though it seems almost as tedious as just copy/pasting it yourself.

    Check out this plugin.

Your site does not look incredibly complex, and as far as I can tell does not have a ton of additional functionality that you would need to recreate.

It may be cleanest to just manually move all of the content over yourself.

Yes it is nice to be able automate things where possible. I was ok with Wix for very short time but now it is really beginning to get on my nerves as very limited.

Thanks I guess it maybe worth trying the plugin and worst ways I will just have to do it the old fashioned way 🙂 !!
