Hi dimmy,
That is a strange one and I’m honestly not quite sure why it is behaving like that at this moment.
Can you try a few different combinations of using external/inline scripts and also try disabling the put JavaScript in footer option and see if this makes it work on the first click and let me know, if not I may need access to your FTP/WordPress Admin to take a closer look as I have never seen this behaviour before.
Many thanks
Peter
Hi Peter
Thanks for your quick response.
I forgot to mention: I tried all available combinations of external/inline and footer options, as I thought those were options specifically tailored towards AJAX users such as myself.
Regardless of combination (one ticked/one not, both ticked, or none ticked) They enable the menu to work on first click, but then the instant slide in/slide out occurs.
Enabling/disabling CSS !important tags makes no difference.
This link currently has the scripts loaded in my AJAX plugin, with both aforementioned boxes ticked.
With your permission, I will contact you through your website.

hi Peter
my client is lingering on the launch (not because of the bug). it’s not a critical thing by any means. wondering if you’d like to take a look at it?

Hi Damian,
I have been taking a look at this but there doesn’t appear to be anything obvious as to why this would behave in this way.
If you could provide me with FTP access to your site then I can take a look at editing my plug-in there to try and get this to work as expected for you.
You can provide me these via email and you will only need to give me access to my plugin folder if required.
Many thanks
Peter
Hi Damian,
Thanks for providing the FTP details by email.
I believe I have fixed the infamous ‘double click’ issue as you mentioned, please can you double and triple check all is working as expected now?
If you want to update any of your other sites, you will need to completely de-activate and remove the plug-in from your admin and then re-install and click “Update Options” from the admin again.
Don’t worry none of your settings will be lost, but it is needed to re-generate the scripts.
Many thanks
Peter
Hi Peter
Yes, thank you. It works great across the devices I’ve tested. The live site which it’s functional on is http://www.amirelsaffar.com (July 2014).
You could add that (compatibility with https://wordpress.org/plugins/ajaxify-wordpress-site/) to your plugin’s description if you wanted to.
I added an additional line of code to my AJAX plugin (Ajaxify WordPress Site) .js to ensure current-menu-items get highlighted appropriately too. Would you like me to write a separate post in THIS plugin’s forum as to how to achieve this?
Many thanks. Hope it wasn’t too much of a headache.
Damian
So now AWS and Responsive Menu plugins are compatible.
Cool 🙂
