• I’m unable to access themes and plugins through the WordPress web interface, and instead need to download them and upload the .zip files. This process works fine for getting themes and plugins installed, but some are giving errors like the one below.

    When I enabled debugging, I got the following error at the top of each backend page:

    Warning: stream_socket_client(): php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /var/www/wp-includes/class-http.php on line 895

    I have checked my ServerName and ServerAlias fields in Apache, as well as my systemwide hosts in Ubuntu which all seem to be in order.

    How can I fix this? I greatly appreciate any help you can provide.
