Hello PaperCuts!
What widget/plugin are you using? Did you try to re-install the plugin/widget?
I don’t know! I found it in widgets on the site but it’s not there any more.
Dear Edith Angst-Hase,
as the subscription widget is not the PaperCuts theme feature, it is a plugin issue. As I can see, you are using the Jetpack plugin on your website, so please check its settings in “Jetpack > Settings” panel. Maybe you have mistakenly disabled this feature here. Your list of subscribers should stay preserved.
Best regards
Tomas Toman
Hey Edith!
I think you may have a problem. If you don’t know what the plugin you have using is possible you have lost your subscribers info also. Check your disabled plugins maybe this plugin is there but disable.
Let me know your findings.
Thanks, Tomas Toman. It hasn’t worked via jetpack. It must have been plug-in, but I don’t know where I got it from. Do you know a plug-in that would work, and would create a box in the right sidebar for visitors to add their email addresses to?
Thanks, Ellp. The plug-in isn’t there any more. I guess i have lost the subscribers.
I can recommend you to use the mentioned Jetpack plugin. For enabling all its features, you will be asked to connect to WordPress.com (if you don’t yet have a WordPress.com account, you can quickly create one after clicking the connect button).
Here is an example how the widget looks like: http://jetpack.me/support/subscriptions/.
Edith,
Keep calm. You can do the following:
1) I don’t know if you are using a rss subscription or newsletter subscription, so you I will assume you are using a rss subscription, ok? You can use Feedburner plugin to create the subscription widget.
2) Create a blog post to inform your readers about the problem and invite them to assign to the new link. Also, you can create an giveaway or something to attract new visitors.
I had some clients with the same problem, and this solution works with a all of them 😉
Hope it helps.
Thanks, both! I think I can work on this now.
Nice!
Edith, let me know if you need a hand on this 😉
