Portfolio doesn't show

I followed the step by step guide but yet the created portfolio just doesn’t display within the created portfolio page. I used the short code as instructed AND disabled any other plug-ins that could have interfered. But the portfolio just won’t display. Hope you can help to trouble shoot.
