Hi there,
Did you clear W3TC’s cache after installing / upgrading WPP?
Notices
Starting version 3.0.0, the way plugin tracks views count switched back to AJAX. The reason for this change is to prevent bots / spiders from inflating views count, so if you’re using a caching plugin you should clear its cache after installing / upgrading the WordPress Popular Posts plugin so it can track your posts and pages normally.

Yes, of course. I was one update behind when I noticed this problem, so I updated to the last version today and cleared cache several times.
I guess I will investigate how it behaves for another day.
By the way, forgot to mention that your site isn’t loading for me at the moment so I couldn’t check it out.

No, it’s definitely not counting views… Is the site loading now? Can you check?

I published new article few hours earlier and it’s not showing the real view count. Right now there is 70 people online, reading the article and 20-30fb likes but the WPP plugin shows only 4 people visited.
Just checked and nope, http://iskamdaznam.com/ doesn’t work for me.

Strange, it should be working. From where are you accessing it?
Anyway, any ideas what could be the problem?
I’m in Venezuela, and for some reason your site’s seem to be blocked for me since I was able to view it using an online proxy site. Still, can’t tell what might be happening since I don’t have direct access to it.

Can you send me some older version of the plugin? Probably with different algorithm of counting or something like that? Is it safe to overwrite with older version or it will mess everything?
To downgrade, follow these steps:
- Disable WPP via Plugins.
- Download WPP v2.3.7.
- Log in to your hosting’s control panel, and enter phpmyadmin (or the equivalent database manager).
- Find the wp_popularpostsdatacache_backup table and rename it to wp_popularpostsdatacache (if you’re using phpmyadmin, you can do this step by clicking on the table, and then go to the Operations tab).
- Go back to wp-admin > Plugins and enable WordPress Popular Posts 2.3.7.
While I haven’t tried these steps myself, I’m pretty sure it’ll work. However, I advice you to create a backup of your database first just in case something goes wrong.

Thanks, I did that. Now it seems to be working. I don’t know how accurate is but at least it’s updating the numbers.
Try enabling the Ajaxify feature again. That way, 2.3.7 will behave like 3.0.3. Keep an eye on it and let me know what happens.
I have the same problem, I’ll try to pass the old version
