    I’m new to the Genesis Framework (it was kind of forced on me) so I know very little about it. So far it has been frustrating and confusing.

    I want to have a different sidebar on one of the pages than on the others. I heard about the “Simple Sidebar” plugin and installed it. But I don’t know where to go to actually put the content in it.

    In other words, I know how to go to the Simple Sidebars page in the Genesis admin area. And I know how to name one. I even know how to go to the widgets area and see the one that I named. But I don’t know how to put content inside of that new sidebar I created. It’s no where to be seen.

    ::sigh::

    Hi thundersbe,

    I am a little confused because your post doesn’t seem to be about my plugin, Genesis Featured Page Advanced. I personally have not used the Simple Sidebars plugin, but I think I can help you out.

    Once you name a new sidebar, go to the Widgets page and you should see your new sidebar there. Add widgets to the sidebar that you created. Now at this point the sidebar won’t show up anywhere on the live website. To get it to show up on the page you want, go to that page’s edit screen on the backend of the site: e.g. Pages -> All Pages -> Your Page (click edit). Now on the edit screen, you should see a new metabox called “Sidebar Selection”. From there, pick the sidebar you want (most likely the one you just created). Then click “Update” and it should show on your page.

    I hope that helps. If you have any further trouble/questions, the developers of Genesis Simple Sidebars might be able to help you better.

    Thanks,
    Nick

    Hello again thundersbe,

    Since I haven’t heard from you, I am going to assume to have everything sorted out and I am going to mark this as resolved. If you have any more questions, please feel free to start another post.

    Thanks,
    Nick
