Categories widget?

    Is there a way I can allow events to be connected to my post categories? Or a widget/way that viewers can see a list of categories? I use a widget at the bottom of my page titled “topics” so that viewers can see anything on the site related to those various topics – but when they search them, the related events don’t show up.
    If I could have a similar type widget for the events categories, or a way for event categories to by synced up with post categories, it would be obvious to the viewer, and they wouldn’t miss things.

    Is this in the pro version?

    Hi SadieLue,

    Thanks for your post. There is not a built-in way to combine regular WordPress categories with the Event Categories (in either the free plugin or PRO).

    Events Calendar PRO does have some advanced widgets that allow you to show events that can be filtered by categories. Would that meet your needs?
