    Is it possible to slow the speed of the slider?

    Yes, I see the “slider speed” control but that just adjusts the timing until the next one comes on the screen.

    I want to add a few seconds to each slider because I have a bit of copy on each to read.

    Is this even possible?

    The setting in the theme option panel is the transition time.. not the stopping time for the slider.. you can not do what you said with this slider

    With FTP or alternative- edit this file:
    wp-content/themes/accesspress-lite/js/jquery.bxslider.min.js

    Search for pause:4e3

    Change the 4 to a higher number for a longer stop
