Pagination
-
I’ve used Related Posts plugins and recently I am trying to add pagination below my posts to split longer posts. However pagination (next page button) displays below related posts which would affect negatively it’s performance.
How do the page numbers appear above related posts?
I am also trying to install different related posts plugins which end up with the same result.
My website is below http://www.saventravel.com
Appreciate your support.

Hey,
thanks for reaching out and for the blog link – I’ll gladly help!
Correct me if I am wrong but you are using the “Hueman” theme? Also, this is what you are trying to achieve: a screenshot.
1.) To do this, go to “Appearances”-> “Editor”-> and in the upper right corner select your theme-> then select “comments.php”-> finally add <?php zemanta_related_posts()?> after the “<section id=”comments” class=”themeform”>” line. Check the screenshot for easier navigation.
2.) Go to the plugin settings and untick the box next to “Auto Insert Related Posts or add <?php zemanta_related_posts()?> to your single post template)”. Screenshot.
3.) Don’t forget to save the changes πPlease let me know how it goes,
PetraHi,
First of all thank you for your prompt reply.
Please see my answers and comments below.
Yes, it is Hueman and yes, I am trying to achieve the page template as you shared.
It is almost done, yet the only and most important missing part is π related post itself. Since “Auto Insert Related Posts or add <?php zemanta_related_posts()?> to your single post template)” is unticked, there is no more related post below my posts. How can I add related post after “Page 1, 2, …” part again to my every post?
One more question… If you would help, I appreciate.
What I am trying to do is to place Page 1, 2″ part immediate after my post. So how can I also replace “Page 1, 2” part with Facebook Like button. You can see the current situation: link
Thanks…
Hey,
thanks for getting back to me. Hmmm…last time I didn’t notice that you don’t have comments enabled on your site, so that could be it π
Because in that first step:
1.) To do this, go to “Appearances”-> “Editor”-> and in the upper right corner select your theme-> then select “comments.php”-> finally add <?php zemanta_related_posts()?> after the “<section id=”comments” class=”themeform”>” line. Check the screenshot for easier navigation.
you insert the related posts above the comments.I will need to recheck the theme’s files, where to put that shortcode and I’ll get back to you ASAP.
Take care and have a nice day,
PetraSo, this should work like a charm:
Go to “Appearances”-> “Editor”-> and in the upper right corner select your theme “Hueman”-> then select “single.php” file, located on your right-> finally add <?php zemanta_related_posts()?> after the “<?php wp_link_pages(array(‘before’=>'<div class=”post-pages”>’.__(‘Pages:’,’hueman’),’after’=>'</div>’)); ?>” line.
Check the screenshot for easier navigation. Don’t foget to “Update File”.
All the best,
PetraHey,
Thank you for your continuous support π Yet it didn’t work. Indeed it became worse :).
When I did what you shared all the side widgets in “single post” disappeared as you can see…
Moreover I still need to tick “Auto Insert Related Posts (or add <?php wp_related_posts()?> to your single post template)” to show related posts in advanced settings part. Even if it is ticked, still related posts come before “Page 1, 2” part.
And still Facebook like button is above “Page 1, 2” section.
I hope there is a solution?
Thanks π
Hey,
everything I wrote above still counts except: please try to replace
<?php zemanta_related_posts()?> with <?php wp_related_posts()?> . Any better?
Or, if you don’t mind sending me your WP Dashboard’s credentials, so that I could take a closer look to those files? If you decide to do so, please send those to support[at]zemanta[dot]com, but I can completely understand if you’re not comfortable sharing those with me. In either case, don’t worry we will get to the bottom of this πLet me know what you think.
Thank you for your patience π
I hope you can understand yet I cannot share the credentials π
Yes it is better now, Related Posts are below Part 1, 2 section.
However… π
1. My posts still are not showing sidebars which had been displaying before those edits. I have tried to change global and single post layout from the theme options layout settings as well as from layout settings in “edit post” page. Unfortunately it didn’t work as you can see.2. Facebook like button is still above Page 1, 2.
3. There is a recently appeared empty space between title and content in several posts. It is very weird because I compared those posts with posts that have no problem , from edit post part yet they are looking identical in terms of format, post options, etc.
Number of issues are increasing π
I hope there is a solution that you can find…
Thanks for your understanding by the way…
I can completely understand you can’t share you credentials – no worries, we will try to continue solving the issues here π
So, about those disappearing sidebars. This is a weird one. That shortcode we added should not affect anything else but then again, I was wrong before.
So, here is what we are going to do:
1.) Unfortunately I can’t replicate the problem on my side, so I am going to ask you to change everything back the way it was before we made any changes, to make sure that those sidebars disappearing is directly related to that shortcode added to the single.php file. Also, would you be so kind and make screenshots of the single.php and comments.php files with the added code before you change it back? After you delete the changes, do the sidebars reappear?
2.) The changes we made so far were not intended to move the button, because I can’t really help you out on this one before we fix everything else. First we need that sidebars back, then the related posts below the “Page 1, 2” and then we will try to fix that “Facebook like” button. Although I can’t promise you anything, as this button is probably part of the theme (I can’t seem to find it though)? Or do you have any additional plugin for this (if yes, which one)? BTW – you have the “Like” button on two places in your posts, below the title and at the end – is that on purpose? If you don’t mind and make some screenshots of your theme’s settings, so that I can make the same adjustments on my side?
3.) Hmmm…not sure if I am seeing this? I have compared those two posts you gave me the link to and this is what I see: comparison. .I am sorry for all these questions but I am really eager to help you out on this one.
Thank you for your understanding and support π
3) Please see the comparison of two pages regarding the space between title and post as they are appeared in my 2 different computers.
And comparison as they can seen in my computers…
This is not happening only in these posts. It is a common and recent issue… π
1) Now I am trying to change everything that I have done. Waov, almost everything is fixed. Widgets are started to appear. Even gap between title and post is disappeared which was the third issue. You can compare this new screenshot with the one at top of this reply (issue number 3).
However when I tick “Auto Insert Related Posts (or add <?php wp_related_posts()?> to your single post template)” again Page 1 2 has started to appear below Related Post. So we return to the beginning, π
2) We can fix this later, in order not to complicate it more… π
So, we have only issue from now on, which is pagination below Related Posts except Facebook button which I am also trying to solve…
Many thanks in advance…
By the way I realized that the links that I have given in “First let me share with you the screenshots of comments.php in 1 2 3 screenshot and single.php in 1 2 screenshot.” post are changed. So you cannot see the difference. Only you could check the screenshot to compare since when I change from editor they have been fixed.
Big thank you for all the screenshots, links,..! π
We have tried every single settings we could think of and still we could not replicate that disappearing sidebars issue.
So, here is what we can do:1.) Now that everything is back to “normal”, only add that line <?php wp_related_posts()?> into the single.php file like we did before. Don’t put it in that comments.php file (it could be that this was the problem). Don’t forget to “Update File”.
2.) Untick the box next to “Auto Insert Related Posts…)”
3.) Save and refresh. If you still get that disappearing sidebars, I am afraid to say, we are going to have to take a closer look to those theme settings somehow. There are so many variables, that we must consider and since you are not comfortable sharing the credentials, I would like to suggest a video call, where you could share your screen and we would guide you via chat?
Let me know how it goes and if you are wiling to do a video call, take care and enjoy the weekend!
Great!!! It is solved π
Please see the link
Big thank you for your continuous support, prompt replies which was even faster than mine and understanding :)))
Also for the video call suggestion to solve the issue π
I have started to add your logo below related post :)))
Many thanks…
Hey,
this is really amazing news and thank you for the support!! :))
All the best,
Petra
