Slider Pushing Content down

Using Twenty Fourteen Theme with TwentyFourteen-child css

What I am trying to achieve is have text with images on the left hand side of page and have a slider on right hand side by side.
I have created columns but not sure if this is the best way to achieve the layout.

I’m using Plugin Responsive WordPress Slider – Soliloquy Lite Version 2.1.4 thanks to Thomas Griffin

The issue I am having is text and image content is being pushed down after the slider loads

I have had a look at below link but struggling to get round this.

Please could someone assist in how I can have text and images on left and slider on right
