Try going to your admin panel -> Settings -> Permalinks
Switch to something different; save; switch back to what you want to use; and save again.
Thank you, Josh! I have been trying for a year to get my most recent post to be the top level page. Changing the permalink setting to default (instead of date) solved this problem.
