Comments not working on various pages

    Hi All

    Hoping someone can help. I have reviewed many other support notes regarding Comments not working on various pages. I have tried all recommendations and am still lost.

    Basically, I have started a blog on our online business website using Word Press, but the Comments section is not working.

    I have all the settings correct via the Discussions Tab & Screen Options. Everything is activated for comments to go ahead.

    I am using a customised theme – not one of the themes in WordPress and in Appearance/Editor, the templates linked to this custom theme are:
    comments.php
    footer.php
    functions.php
    header.php
    index.php
    sidebar.php
    timthumb.php

    Not sure if I am missing others, or if the comments.php is enough for comments to work. In saying that, I am not sure if the coding is correct in comments.php. Is there something I should be looking for? Is the coding generic across all sites or do I need something specifically set up for mine? I am not a coder, but happy to have a tinker if someone can point me in the right direction.

    Happy to provide more info if I have left anything out if someone thinks this is fixable or if I am just fighting a losing battle 🙂

    You have errors in your theme, single pages don’t work, this makes me think the theme is incomplete so I would recommend you to not use it.
    Now about the comments in the first page:
    You have a custom theme, we need to see some code in order to help (I’m guessing it’s a php issue)
    can you share using pastebin the code you have in comments.php, index.php and functions.php?
    this should give us a starting point.

    Thanks for your reply! Someone else set this theme up & gave it to me & attached it to my website.

    I have pasted the codes in pastebin titled TKN comments.php, TKN index.php and TKN functions.php

    Not sure how to show them in this forum though? Sorry I am soooooo not clued up with this stuff. I bow my head in shame hehe
