Sorting Events on edit page, Columns

    I just updated to TEC 3.6.1 and PRO 3.6 (we’re a non-profit, can’t use the premium forums). When I try to sort the events by either Venue or Organizer, they sort by creation date (as reported by several other users). Sorting by Title, Start Date or End Date appears to work correctly. Actually, I like the ability to sort by creation date, but by Venue and Organizer are useful too.

    While trying to track this, I tried to remove the previously added Author column, but it seems to be stuck. I click on the “x” to remove it from the list of columns, refresh the page (or leave and come back), and it’s still there in the grid.

    Howdy Broome Arts,

    Thank you for reporting that bug. It had somehow slipped past us. We actually had a similar bug recently, probably related to the old threads you have found, but that bug was fixed. This new one had similar symptoms. I have updated our QA procedure to make sure we are explicitly testing this each release. Surprisingly that was missing, even though we specified testing everything else. That was a silly oversight. We will be fixing the Organize/Venue sorting in a future release.

    I am unable to reproduce the author issue. It could be that you are suffering from a theme or plugin conflict. Or, are you not running the latest version of PRO (3.6.1)? You would want to upgrade if not via the usual non-profit way.
