loggin in in wordpress

hello,

I dont understand a simple concept as a login in wordpress. If only admin users are able to login, I can understand that when logging in the user is redirected to the admin page.

What I dont understand is that when I give the users the option to register and they login that the users are derirectd to its edit profile page… The most important page to a normal user will not be the edit profile page for sure, so, I would like to redirect the user to the main page of my glob. I thought this link would to that, but it actually redirect the users to the edit profile page: http://localhost/wordpress3.9.1/wp-login.php

How can I change this?
