Remove "rate this" and "1 vote"?

I backed up my defaults and def_settings, went through every line with rateThis and deleted them to no avail. I’m so confused! Is there a setting I don’t know about? I looked through the how to on the blog for a power user setting but couldn’t find one. Please help.
