What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?
I click on the screen options in the upper right and Discussions is unchecked
discussion needs to be checked in the screen options tab;
then you can disable comments somewhere below the editor by unticking ‘allow comments’.
alternatively, goto:
dashboard – pages – all pages – click quickedit below the respective page title – untick ‘allow comments’ – click ‘save’

I am trying to get rid of comment boxes on various pages. I click on the screen options in the upper right and Discussions is unchecked as well as comments, yet when I go to that particular page the comment box still shows. How do I get rid of the comment page?
