• There is only one account authorized to publish on the blog, but multiple writers who I’d like to acknowledge. I want to edit the author’s name for each post, for both the already published and future posts.

Anyone know how I do that? Thanks!

  • Hi @orlyb,

Thanks for posting on the forums.

I want to edit the author’s name for each post, for both the already published and future posts.

You can edit it easily from the following path in the admin area as displayed in this screenshot http://i.imgur.com/2rNhoa4.png.

Admin area -> Posts -> All Posts -> Quick Edit

Hi Vinod. Unfortunately, my quick-edit doesn’t look like the one in the screenshot. I have “title”, “slug”, “date” and “password”, but the “author” part is missing. Any idea why or how to fix this?

    Hi @orlyb,

    Thank you for your reply.

How many users do you have?

Could you please try creating another Administrator / Author / Contributor user and see whether it resolves your issue?

    Kind Regards,
    Vinod Dalvi

The answer is — go to screen options in the top right corner of the page and expand that window. Then you will see the checkbox to show authors.

I had the same problem and finally found it there — then you can change authors to anyone who is a user.

    Phil
