    Hi

I see I’m not the only one for whom the latest Evolve update 2.9.8 caused problems.

For me, it’s the White Screen of Death on the front end only; dashboard seems fine.No error messages. Fortunately, I was using a test page, so my ‘real’ site is still up.

I see from a response that I could FTP a fresh version of the theme into my installation, but I’m using the theme’s own custom CSS rather than a Child Theme, since I had relatively few css changes. Does anyone have an opinion as to whether that will cause its own problems?

    Thanks!

The theme’s custom CSS should be saved in your database, so in theory, it will be unaffected by a fresh theme upload.

I’m having the same problem. I’m not well versed with WP but I have tried to reinstall the theme with no luck, still saying stylesheet is missing. I tried installing an older version and I couldn’t, saying the destination “….” was already in use. Tried to uninstall and I can find the option under themes tab. Help please.

@lancetrovato: It is considered impolite to interrupt another poster’s ongoing thread unless you are posting a solution or suggestion. As per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic.

Check that there is no .htaccess file located at the /wp-content/ directory. If there is you should be right just to delete it.

Some security plugins add one here and many themes, plugins and even images dissapear as a result.

    Hope that helps,
