My homepage has suddenly gone funny: the side columns have slipped down to the bottom somehow, and the previews of posts have increased in size.

It only appears to be a homepage problem: post pages seem unaffected.

Has anyone any idea what could be the problem here? It may be a theme issue, of course (I use Thesis); I’ll raise these in the DIYThemes forums too.

I think I’ve found the answer to this.

In the fourth post down, there was some stray HTML – some <div> tags that weren’t closed. Once I edited them out, the homepage went back to normal.

I hadn’t touched that post for weeks, but I think the invalid HMTL must have only had an effect today because a new post pushed that one down to the final “full display” post position. I guess it must have affected the previews beneath, which must have had a knock-on effect on the sidebars.

    Anyway – solved, I think.

Right, trying to make this resolved.
