Add additional subscribe to different list, widget

    Hello

    On a site I have a subscribe form in a widget to subscribe to a MailChimp list.

    But is there a way to add another widget to another page where people can subscribe to a different list that has been created in MailChimp?

    I can see the different lists created in wp-admin > Settings > MailChimp Setup, but at the moment only one will take effect.

    Suppose, even if there is a ‘hacky’ way to do it I can give it a try?

    Hi Semblance_er,

    Thanks for hopping in the forum. Currently, the plugin can only be connected to one list at a time. But you can add another list’s signup form to your site using the MailChimp embed code. Here’s a great guide from the MailChimp knowledge base that can help with finding the embed code: http://eepurl.com/Wh2gH

    You can add that code to a text widget or directly in your theme’s code. Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Should have known MailChimp has an embed feature like this! 😉

    Hi semblance_er,
    This was exactly what I was looking for too, but for some reason it’s not working. May I ask where exactly did you paste the code? Directly on the WordPress page where you want the sign up form to show, or on the MailChimp WP plugin Form Settings page?

    Sure. On the one page, in a widgetized sidebar I am using the plugin, that I’ve activated via wp-admin > Settings > MailChimp Setup with a specific list.
    Then in Appearance > Widgets, in that sidebar I am using the MailChimp Widget that shows under widgets. With the installed MailChimp plugin, that widget will show under Appearance > Widgets, but only applies to one list that is created in the MailChimp account http://mailchimp.com/ and selected under wp-admin > Settings > MailChimp Setup

    On another page I have a different widgetized sidebar. Where I have simply just added a normal Text Widget to the other widgetized sidebar via Appearance > Widget. In that Text widget you can copy and paste the embed code that was created in MailChimp account for the second/other mailing list – as per the tutorial here: http://eepurl.com/Wh2gH

    That did the trick for me. Knowing this, I almost feel that you don’t need the plugin and can just add different MailChimp form embeds for different lists in different Text widgets, as needed.
