I did everything as instructed, the same as the video,
but the order of my posts remains the same, didn’t change it at all.
Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?

Is the Autosort turned ON? If so, possible there is a code which get in conflict, i would try to de-activate the plugins one by one. As last instance you should check your theme query if use a standard http://codex.wordpress.org/Class_Reference/WP_Query
