NextGEN appears to break Visual Composer

Once NextGEN is activated, I recently purchased PRO version which means installing latest free version as well, Visual Composer loses all formatting on the front end. Both VC and NextGEN seem to be fine on the backend and in editing modes. However, new or old pages or posts, lose all Visual Composer elements. Everything basically falls apart. Quite a mess. Be wary if you use VC with you theme and install NextGEN.
I cannot include a link to my site to show examples as the problem affects every page and post from the moment NextGEN is activated. To keep user experience in tact, had to deactivate NextGEN until a solution is found.
Anyone have a this issue? Find a fix?
