• Using BackUpWordPress on a few sites. One of them is an economy GoDaddy hosting package, and BUWP does great for weeks, then all of a sudden it can’t run a backup. The little wheel spins for days on end trying. I have to go in and manually cancel and then run again and it is back in business.

Is there anything I can do to make this run successfully every time like on my other sites which are hosted on better servers?

    Thanks.

  • I have experienced the same issue and can’t get it to stop spinning. I finally deactivated and deleted the plugin then reinstalled it. Hope it works this time…

    Thanks.

I have the same problem (and workaround as pseudogeek) with the daily database backup on one of my sites only.
Weekly full backups and my other sites (same hosting environment, all also have the same daily database backup schedule) run without issues.

It’s the ‘ziparchive’ step that never finishes (currently 5 days and counting). When I run in manually, that step finishes in a couple of seconds (mysqldump is the most time intensive one).
Is there a timeout parameter after which the backup can automatically be forced to stop?

It’s annoying that I only find this out when I download the backups once a week and the daily ones are missing..
