[PLUGIN] Youtube Channel Gallery Causing Problems

I understand that I need to use a debugger to remove the http but I was wondering if it is possible to add a code to functions.php that will automatically force the plugin to generate thumbnails as https or without the http so my site will automatically read it as https.

The plugin author is not answering. I would appreciate some help with this matter. I noticed many are unable to solve this.

Could this be the code I need to change? I am not an expert, I am just guessing here:
