Ok, This is going to be hard for me to explain, but I’m going to do my best.

I want a link to open inside my wordpress so that when you click the link it looks like a normal Page that I created through wordpress. I hope this make sense. I’m sure it has something to do with page templates and such, but I don’t know where to start.

I would create a page, but I don’t want a Page button for the link to show up in my menu on the header.

My website is http://oklicious.isgreat.org and if you click the Fun House link you can see where I’m trying to make a new page and it’s just not working for me. (it might give you an idea of what I’m trying to do.)

    Thank you very much.

  • FunHouse is a Page created in/by WP.
    So, what’s the real question?

You can certainly exclude Pages from showing up in the menu; there’s another post around here just a bit ago where the person is at present excluding a dozen or more Pages…. ah, here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/98660?replies=2

You can see how the person has constructed the wp_list_pages tag there.

In response to moshu, I realize Fun House is a Page. I want it to be and I like that it’s on my menu. But, when you click on Fun House, do you see the link wallpaper? I want it to be a whole new page with the same structure as the rest of my wordpress layout. However, I don’t want it to appear in the menu, which is what happens when I simply create a page for it.

vkaryl, I’m going to try to exclude the pages from the menu. Thanks. 🙂

    Even simpler:
Make “Wallpaper” a child Page of Funhouse and in the top menu add the “depth=1” parameter >> it will show only top-level Pages.

This is perfect and helped me :).

“What I did on some sites with many Pages – kept only a few as “parents” and made all the rest of Pages “children”. Then in the wp_list_pages tag used the parameter “depth=1” which shows only the top level Pages.
Depending on the structure of your Pages/content it might work. Or not :)” – moshu http://wordpress.org/support/topic/98660?replies=2

Yep, I posted the same solution for you, too 🙂 – see above your post.
