Spammed With Comments

    Hi,

    my website is really getting spammed with comments uncontrollably and the website is crashing because of this.

    Can someone please tell me how to turn the comments off completely?

    in the admin dashboard menu
    Setting / Discussion
    then look towards top at
    “Default article settings”

    deselct: Allow people to post comments on new articles
    deselect: Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks)

    Also install “Askimet” plugin to deal with your existing issue
