Comments Box Not Visible
-
have you enabled comments in dashboard settings?
Settings > Discussion – make sure you are allowing your users to submit comments.
Go to the specific post or page, at the top pull down the screen options menu. Check off discussion.
Scroll down and, again, ensure comments are turned on.
Thanks, yes I verified that comments are enabled in dashboard settings. I think my problem may be related to links I inlcuded in my post (links to previous posts). I removed the links and created a new post with the same content, and the comments box was now visible in the new post. Any ideas? Thanks!!
Can you please provide us an example page.
I’m not sure how to provide an example (can’t seem to paste or attach a jpg). My site is http://learninggrowingmind.com/ if you scroll down to the bottom of the post on the main page, you can see the “leave a comment” is there and working. I had to trash my old post and create a new (identical) post without links embedded to get the “leave a comment” to appear.
At this point it’s not a problem anymore. Ideally I’d like to understand the cause so I can avoid it in the future. Thanks,
Karllooks like you are using a plugin for comment form. Which plugin are you using?
It looks like you’re using jetpack comments, which may partly be to blame.
I’m not sure why it wouldn’t appear if you have next and previous links there tho.
Yes, I’m using Jetpack comments. Thatks to both of you for your help! I’m going to mark this as resolved – hopefully it was an odd thing that won’t happen again.

In my recent post, the Comments Box is not visible in the post (thus readers can’t comment). I can’t figure out how to get it to appear. I deactivated my plugins and reset the permalinks to default – no change. All of my prior posts have not had this problem.
