Hi, I have a few questions regarding this plugin.

    1. It seems to me that plugin does not have membership levels (We have only two level, Gold and Platinum) feature out of the box. I believe that we have to subscribe $49 (which I have no problem) to get extensions and tweaks? Or am I not looking hard enough inside the plugin since I cannot find it?

    2) I would like to have Pay-per-post option for non-registered members. On our memberships section, users will see two buttons at the end of excerpt of each post, “Purchase For A Single Article” or “Subscribe to Unlimited Articles for 1 month or year” Can we have both? I looked around other membership plugins and they only allow either one and not giving both options.

    3) What kind of PayPal payment options is there? Paypal website payment or Standard or Express? Any Credit card payment methods?

I can subscribe right away once I am sure this is what I am looking for. I like the plugin so far since it is separate from Standard WPlogin. Also where can I find my profile (edit profile)page? Thanks

#1 – there are ways to add in levels. In fact, using the plugin’s framework of action and filter hooks, this area is pretty extensible. I’ve got some code snippets on the premium support site for levels based on categories (i.e. Silver, Gold, Platinum user levels and matching categories), and I’m adding another code snippet now that allows any content to be given an access level (i.e. it doesn’t have to be a category).

#2 – That’s another thing that is in the works. There is a PayPal extension that offers subscription based content, so it will set an expiration date (unlimited access). The next update of the PayPal extension will offer the option of Pay-Per-Post access. I intend for this to be available as both, not an either/or.

#3 – The PayPal extension uses the IPN for website payments standard.

Setting up profile edit can be done with one of the following shortcodes:

    [wp-members page=”user-profile”]
    [wp-members page=”user-edit”]

The user profile page allows users to edit their profile and change their password, and non-logged in users can reset a forgotten password.

The user-edit parameter is just the user profile update part of that.

There is more about the available shortcodes here.

Hi Chad, Thanks for your quick reply. Can you tell me when you plan to release the next update? Thanks

Hi Chad, We run a Southeast Asian History Study website. Now I can’t seem to configure different pricing structure. We only have two levels. For example, Gold is $50 (For individuals – students and history junkies) Platinum is $100 (For universities and institutions). Both memberships can view unlimited content on the website, the only difference is GOLD is limited to one user while PLATINUM account is used mainly at schools where multiple computers are given instant login access based on their IPs.

Question is where can I set the pricing fee in the plugin. I installed paypal subscription extension but now sure if it works. Thanks in advance for your kind answer.
