SMS Sign Ups And Messaging

Hi guys,

I want to give our community the opportunity to sign up for updates on certain parts of the website with their mobile phone number. I’ve had a quick Google search but am shocked at some of the prices..I get unlimited texts on my mobile and don’t want to spend lots of $$ sending texts for the site.

Is there a cheap/free option that allows this? I noticed stuff about setting up a http and such but didn’t understand it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
